Leogane, Haiti after the January 12th earthquake that displaced millions and killed 250,000. The most powerful thing about being in Haiti after the quake was witnessing how people cope with loss how they embrace it and rejoice in life despite such massive obstacles. It’s strange to see children laughing and smiling amidst what looks like a war zone but they do. What has continuously awed me is how life goes on in the world even amidst the greatest loss.
