My name is Paul Brown, I was born in Loughborough and I am a local amateur photographer.
I have been taking photographs for about five years.
I am a member of the Leicester Forest Photographic Society which I have found inspirational in helping me to progress in my photography.
The aim of this exhibition is to give a glimpse of life in the street, portraying both the happy and also the sad side. When people are looking at my photographs I want them to actually feel the atmosphere on the street.
My photographs are natural and not posed or set up, nothing is added or removed from the photographs. Some are sad, some are quirky, some are very emotional but that's how life is on the street.
I am a member of the Royal Photographic Society and I have gained the distinction of becoming an associate member.
I have exhibited work at City Gallery and New Walk Museum, Leicester, and Nottingham Castle Gallery.
I have also recently had work accepted for the 35th Smethwick international exhibition, and 'Midphot 2010'.
I have also published two books of my work.
