"Do You Care About Us?"
Shot at Sonepur Fair, India.
"India has 375 million children, more than any other country in the world. Their condition has improved in the last five decades, with child survival rates up, school drop-out rates down and several policy commitments made by the government at national and international levels. Resource allocations by the State, however, remain quite inadequate to take care of the survival and healthcare needs of infants and children, their education, development and protection."
...MORE TO SAY:
· There are millions of street and working children in India.
· Children as young as six have to resort to car washing, begging, carrying luggage, fetching tea or working in small industries to support themselves... and sometimes their families.

"This shot is dedicated to those who are not born with that silver spoon in their mouths. The look on the girl's face made me take it."
