"TRIBUTE"
Some tribute performers go to great lengths to look like and emulate the movements and mannerisms of their musical heroes as well as reproducing the sound to an exceptional quality. This gallery of images celebrates the efforts of the local promoters who have made such an extraordinary commitment over the last few years to keep the music of the past alive as well as to promote opportunities for new bands.
Alongside the tributes and new bands, Glastonbudget also commits itself to bringing in still touring favourites from the past, so you will also find here images of Nev Staple’s band playing the music of ‘The Specials’ and Buster Blood Vessel from the latest incarnation of ‘Bad Manners’.
This year’s festival features tributes to the Foo Fighters, Queen, Razorlight, Artic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, The Killers, The Kinks, U2, Feeder, Madness, Oasis and many others.

...Keeping the music alive!
Now dubbed as Europe’s largest tribute and new bands festival, ‘Glastonbudget’ is held annually over the late May Bank Holiday weekend just outside the Charnwood village of Wymeswold. Charnwood Arts has been involved since the early days and has documented Glastonbudget photographically over the years as well as running its own venue at the festival, the ‘Charnie Arnie Marquee’, for the first time in 2008.
