The family business of ironmongers, tool merchants and seedsmen was formed in 1887 by David's grandfather Henry, trading as Morgan and Greene, later to become H.E.Morgan and Son Ltd. The firm served trade and industry as well as retail customers from their shop in Baxter Gate, specialising in top quality hand and power tools, together with security locks for domestic and industrial use. Grandson David, who joined the business in 1964, continues his skill as a locksmith from his premises in Moira Street.
