Before Loughborough, before houses, streets and before people, there was land, endless land with streams and rivers, hills and forest. This foundation is everything that man is and a model for all that we have created and will create in the future, we are born of nature and return to it upon our death and still we overlook its charm.
Nature's capacity for beauty, majesty and grace so long ignored it has become unexpected and surprising. In this surprise we need look no further for our unexpected Loughborough it is all around us we just chose to walk by it rather than seek it. The majority of these pictures are of concealed places in the town centre, places we all walk by unconscious of the splendour they hold in their leafy gates. (...)
