"Scenes of the Unexpected in Loughborough"
a photographic exhibition from
Loughborough University School of Art and Design

"Is there an uncanny side to Loughborough? What are the unusual, unfamiliar, incidental and unexpected aspects of the town? Where are its hidden places and spaces?"
Students at Loughborough University School of Art and Design were invited to respond creatively to these questions, to   explore the environment of Loughborough and seek out the hidden, the idiosyncratic, the incidental, the transgressive and the uncanny. The selection of photographic work in this exhibition reveals a familiar place from a diverse range of perspectives. It reminds us that there is always something new to discover about where we live, work and play.

This is a collaborative project between the Contemporary Art and Theory Research Group at Loughborough University School of Art and Design with support from The Helen Jean Cope Trust.

The exhibition features work by:

Justine Alm
John Aston
