Employment and livelihood struggles of women in rural India.
As India goes through its growing pangs as a new burgeoning economy, it is leaving behind in its shadows a majority of rural India that is still living a daily struggle to survive with rampant unemployment and lack of livelihood. In this struggle it is the women and girls who have to carry majority of this burden. They have to complete the household chores, do most of the menial work in order to earn an income for their families. All this, despite being at the lowest echelons of the rural social strata.
